A practice between system and surface.

Arcos is a Vilnius-based artist working with code, plotted movement, acrylic paint, ink, canvas, and paper.

The work connects digital systems with physical mark-making. Plotted movement is used as a tool for creating precise but materially unpredictable artworks. Each finished piece is a physical object, signed and finished by hand.

The current body of work is presented in two materials: ink on A3 paper, and acrylic on 50 x 70 cm canvas. New works are released in small considered groups rather than continuous production.
